For customers who are interested in a faster, more pragmatic way to unlock order management capabilities in a very short time frame, we have a number of options to get you up and running in weeks rather than months!

The current retail climate is an extremely challenging one – which has been heavily compounded by the pandemic. This has left retailers needing a quick turnaround in terms of time to value. Something which was once classed as ‘Important’ has moved into the ‘Important and Urgent’ category.

By quickly implementing key services, it is possible to see an early return on investment which can pave the way for further development of value add services.

Option 1 – Store Fulfilment only (customer has their own OMS) – 30 day Implementation

Rapid Deployment Options

The Sterling Store Application is installed to facilitate picking, packing (for ship from store) and collection of online orders in Store.

  • Catalogue information is sent to Sterling Store
  • Sterling Store receives orders from the incumbent OMS
  • Shipping documentation and labels are generated from the Store Application through light touch integration with a carrier system
  • Sterling Store handles customer collection (including ID verifications) and produces a customer collection slip
  • Stock and status updates are sent to the incumbent OM system

  • Migrate OMS to Sterling
    • Sterling is the master of stock availability for customer ordering (ATP)
    • Sourcing rules managed on Sterling
    • Order Management returns to DC through self ship
    • Integration with WMS

A basic version of Sterling OMS is installed alongside the Store Application to facilitate order management services and picking & packing of online orders from Store.

  • Sterling receives orders from the website
  • Sterling is the master of stock availability for customer ordering (ATP)
  • Sterling initiates fulfilment through basic sourcing rules at basket level
  • Store picking and packing from the Sterling Store Application
  • Shipping documentation and labels are generated from the Store Application through light touch integration with a carrier system
  • Returns through self ship to DC
  • Fulfil from 1 or more DCs  (using same WMS system)
  • Inventory supply changes to be pushed as actual values by the WMS /Store System
